COSTS

How much does cancer treatment in Turkey cost?

There is no single price for “cancer treatment”. Two patients with the same broad diagnosis can receive very different plans and costs because stage, treatment sequence, drugs, surgery, radiotherapy and hospital stay may differ.

Medical decisions are made by the evaluating physicians and hospitals. MEDITRAVEL coordinates access and communication.

What changes the estimate

Treatment type

Consultation, surgery, radiation therapy and systemic therapy have completely different cost structures.

Cancer drugs

Immunotherapy and targeted drugs may be expensive and can be given over multiple cycles.

Surgery complexity

Operating time, implants or consumables, intensive care and length of stay can change the quote.

Radiotherapy course

Technique, planning complexity and number of fractions influence the total.

Molecular tests

NGS panels differ by laboratory, sample and number of genes.

Additional investigations

The hospital may request repeat imaging, pathology review or laboratory work before the final plan.

Ask what is included in writing

A useful estimate should state the planned procedure, hospital/physician, expected admission, major consumables, included tests and items that may be billed separately.
